Track Exposure.
Protect Your Team.

A veteran firefighter built Decon-Track after looking for answers no department could give. It helps departments track exposure, document incidents, and keep solid career exposure records. Works online or offline, and syncs automatically when the network comes back.

01 · Why Decon-Track

Born on the fireground

Created by Derek Doyle, a firefighter with 26 years on the job and a cancer survivor, after he asked a question no department could answer: how long was each member actually exposed, and for how long before decontamination?

Exposure accountability

A clear record for every incident and every responder, backed by server timestamps instead of memory.

Structured documentation

Live capture replaces freehand notes. Recording continues locally when connectivity drops, then syncs to the server automatically.

Operational visibility

Per-seat assignment, exposure state, and decon progress on active incidents, synced across devices.

Long-term firefighter safety

Career exposure totals and individual statistics that protect your members over time.

02 · The Challenge

The cost of doing it
the old way.

Most departments still rely on a mix of paper, spreadsheets, and memory. It works until something gets lost or disputed.

01

Paper forms after every call

Carbon copies, smudged ink, and clipboards that never make it back to the station.

02

Spreadsheets that drift

One officer's tracker, another officer's version. No single source of truth.

03

Incomplete documentation

Missing exposure entries show up months later, usually when it matters most.

04

Delayed reporting

Reports compiled days after the call, from memory and partial notes.

05

Administrative burden

Hours of officer time spent reconciling what should have been captured live.

06

Unreliable connectivity

Rural and structure-fire scenes often have weak or no cellular data. Paper becomes the fallback when software cannot keep up.

03 · The Approach

From paperwork to the panel.

Decon-Track replaces scattered manual workflows with one structured operational record. Captured live, kept accurate, ready when you need it.

Decon-Track WorkflowLive
  • Incident opened from the tablet en route
  • Personnel assigned · exposure logged in real time
  • Decontamination steps tracked per member
  • Data saved locally when offline · uploads when connected
  • Exposure finalized on close · reports on demand
  • Archived, searchable, and ready for review
04 · Platform

Built for how the firehouse actually works.

Every module follows how departments run calls.

Incident management

Open, dispatch prep, on-scene decon dashboard, and close, from first alert to concluded record.

Exposure tracking

Per-seat exposure with server-backed durations and career totals on each firefighter profile.

Decontamination workflow

Row and unit primary decon, shower timer, NOT EXPOSED clearance, and unit complete.

Personnel statistics

Individual profile with incident, exposure, shower compliance, and special-substance analytics.

Personal mobile access

QR enrollment lets firefighters view read-only personal statistics on their own phone.

Operational reporting

Filter, view, and export concluded incident data. CSV and Excel supported.

Training & practice mode

Simulator incidents with RECRUE workflow, isolated from operational unit locks.

Offline operation

Keep capturing incidents, exposure, and decon steps without connectivity. A local outbox syncs automatically when the network returns.

05 · Workflow

Three steps. One operational record.

01

Create incident

Open a new incident from a tablet at scene or command post. Address, type, and unit assignments captured in seconds.

02

Track personnel & exposure

Assign members, log exposure, and monitor decontamination. Synced across devices when online; saved locally and uploaded when connectivity returns.

03

Generate reports

Close the incident when units are complete. Reports are built on demand from stored data, ready to export.

06 · Personnel

Individual statistics for every firefighter

Career exposure and incident participation, built from the same timestamps used in operational reports, not reconstructed from paper.

  • Career exposure

Cumulative on-scene exposure time on each personnel profile.

  • Incident participation

Total incidents and breakdown by type, including operational and practice history.

  • Shower compliance

NFPA 1500 timing buckets and average shower-to-clear time per seat session.

  • Special substances

Incidents with operator-selected substances and links to cleaning protocols.

  • PDF export

Downloadable profile summary for records and accountability.

07 · Personal access

Personal statistics on their phone

Authorized staff open a firefighter's profile and display a QR code. The firefighter scans it, signs in, and sees read-only statistics for themselves only, without the full operator console.

01

Mobile access from profile

An authorized officer opens the personnel profile and taps Mobile access to reveal a QR code.

02

Scan and sign in

The firefighter scans the QR on their phone and completes secure sign-in on their device.

03

My statistics

A read-only view of approved personal metrics. Add to Home Screen for quick return.

Access is limited on the server. No roster, incidents, reports, or other profiles.
